The stack of Kyle “thetruth503″ Zartman’s (pictured at left) had shrunk dramatically since we last checked on him in the $2.5K Mixed Hold’em event, even before this hand took place.
After a series of pre-flop raises Zartman had another player all in during a level of limit hold’em with the blinds at 2K/4K with limits of 4K/8K. Zartman held A

and Zartman was left with a little less than 40K.
A short time later Zartman was all in with A

against another player’s pocket jacks. We’re not sure when all the money got in but the board eventually read J

Randy “Randers” Haddox and Barry “barryg1″ Greenstein continue to build their stacks. During the same round of limit hold’em, Haddox and another player saw a flop of Q

and his opponent mucked. Haddox’s stack looked to be up to around 150K after the hand.
Greenstein chipped up during the most recent NLHE portion of the event. With the blinds at 1K/2K and an ante of 300, Greenstein opened for a raise to 6K, the player on the button called, and Matthew Woodward called from the big blind. The flop came down J

and Woodward checked to Greenstein who bet out 11K. The player on the button folded and Woodward called. Woodward checked again after the 3
fell on the turn and Greenstein bet out 25K. Woodward thought for quite a while before check-calling once again. The A
on the river prompted Woodward to check a third time and Barry quickly reached for a handful of orange 5K chips and bet out 30K. After at least two minutes of thought, Woodward folded and Barry scooped the pot. After the hand he was up to 205K. He appears to have kept the momentum going during the LHE portion of the level as well and now sits with around 250K.
Eric “EFro” Froelich (60K) and Shaun Deeb (24K) are also still alive.
WSOP 2009 Event #45: $10K PLHE
Darryll “DFish” Fish is making his mark on the WSOP by being one of the few players who was willing to stick around and watch the final table he recently busted out of. He isn’t the only one on the rail. Several online players have turned out to watch the final table including Maria “Maridu” Mayrinck, Scott “gunning4you” Seiver, Justin Bonomo, Aaron Been, Amit “amak316″ Makhija, Cody “thugmoneymkr” Slaubaugh and Jason Gray are all watching as the eight remaining players continue to duke it out for the bracelet.
The action has slowed since Fish’s elimination, but the ever-increasing blinds have made it so that the average stack size is just 20 big blinds with the blinds at 25K/50K. Eugene Todd and Kiril Gerasimov are currently the two short stacks and John Kabbaj and Davidi “legrouzin” Kitai (pictured at right) are still our two chip leaders.
WSOP 2009 Event #48: $1.5K PLO H/L
“This game is the most f—ing stupid game ever”——Jimmy “gobboboy” Fricke
Jimmy appears to have aptly summed up the way many players are feeling about the PLO H/L event. In just five levels the field has shrunk from 762 to 369 players and several of our own have fallen by the wayside including Tom “sbrounder” West, Darryl “gophish” Dauenhauer, Jason “JP_OSU” Potter and Steve “whitealroker” Bent have all hit the rail in the past hour.
