After a short break Yevgeniy “Atimos” Timoshenko (right) and Ran Azor were back at the tables, still playing at the 150k / 300k blinds. After showing his willingness to fold hands Ran Azor finally made a stand calling off his chips with the Q
T
after he had opened for 800k and Timoshenko moved all in over the top. Azor had around 4 million chips to start the hand, well covered by the nearly 30 million of Timoshenko who had Azor all in and was ahead with his A

Azor flopped top pair on the Q

flop and it looked like he would double up again. Timoshenko and Azor stood side by side as the cards came out, both smiling and with Timoshenko calling for the K
to hit on the turn to make it interesting by giving him a flush and straight draw. Instead the K
hit and Timoshenko seemed resigned to going back to grinding away at Azor but as he called for Azor to make 2 pair the T
peeled off on the river, fulfilling Timoshenko’s call for Azor to make 2 pair and giving Timoshenko the straight.
Yevgeniy Timoshenko wins $2,149,960 for his victory in the $25k buy in World Poker Tour Championship event at the young age of 21 years and just over 2 months old making him the second youngest WPT winner in history with only Nick Schulman winning a title at a younger age.
Ran Azor gets $1,446,265 for his runner up efforts here at the Bellagio.
