With the deep starting stacks it is taking big hands in the early levels to bring about the larger pots. Andy Bloch picked up a huge pot in the first level when he made a straight flush. The other player got away from his hand, but was left with less than 20k and on major tilt.
A few hands later he was all in preflop with the K
J
against Haffa “hafizzle” Khan who had pocket tens. The pair held up and Haffa was able to eliminate the first player from the tournament while Bloch got the lions share of his chips.
Dan “Wretchy” Martin (right) has also been eliminated from the tournament. His exit came during the 2nd level leaving him shaking his head as he made his way out of the tournament area. Vadim Trincher, fresh off a win at the recent Foxwoods WPT event, knocked Martin out of the tournament and based on the table talk after Martin’s elimination it seems he did so by getting it in bad and getting there.
Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy may have missed a bet on the river, but even with the action going check check on 5th street his quad nines still earned him a decent pot. Josephy was hoping an ever aggressive Tuan Le would bet on the river of the Q

board but Tuan checked behind. After the hand Bax was up to around 130k.
