We saw the biggest pot of the tournament to date on Table 58 in the Orange Section of the Amazon Room.
Josh “brikdog24″ Brikis (pictured left) worked his stack all the way up to 1.8 million before getting it all in with James St. Hilaire. Hilaire had Brikis covered by 300K and with 3.6 million in the pot the two tabled their cards.

The flop fell 7

, a very safe board for Hilaire, and he put a stranglehold on the hand when the 4
came on the turn. The rail was restlessly shouting before the river card was revealed.
“CLUB! QUEEN! DEUCE!”
The dealer wrapped the table slowly, burned a card and spiked the Q
on the river. The rail exploded. A chorus of cheers and jeers filled the tournament area as the dealer and a floorman counted both stacks. Brikis couldn’t stop pacing back and forth around the table, genuinely shocked. He finally stood still for a second and stared into space.
“Wow,” Josh uttered. “Wow, wow, wow.”
Wow is right, Brikis went from elimination to chip leader in the blink of an eye.
Alex “EC10″ Venovski was not as fortunate as Brikis. Venovski ran AQ into the AA of Faraz “The-Toilet” Jaka. Jaka held and Venovski was eliminated in 10th place for $72,466. Faraz is second in chips with 2.55 million.
Ante Up for Africa is of and running in the Blue Section of the Amazon Room. Phil Hellmuth is the MC but he’s a bit too loud for the remaining players in Event #56. They are saying that they can’t concentrate, and the players may move if the public address system continues to be a nuisance.
