In case you’re wondering, he’s going to buy a llama with the money.
Steve “whitealroker” Bent has busted from the $1K stimulus event. With the blinds at 800/1600 and a 200 chip ante Bent moved all in A
5
and the small blind called with A
K
the board came 10-9-7-Q-2. After the hand, he told us he was “very happy” to have his first World Series of Poker cash. Although he wasn’t exactly sure of how much money he’d be collecting, he assured us that it would be enough to buy a llama.
Bent also gave us some more details on the hand that crippled him earlier. He said he made it 3K more in the big blind with A-J and the small blind called. Both players checked the A-Q-10 flop and all the chips went in when a nine came on the turn.
Bent prolonged his stay for a while with a double up when his J
8
bested another player’s pair of twos. The flop of Q
J
T
brought help and he dodged a two on the 4
turn and the A
river.
Gary “GB2005″ Bogdanski also busted shortly after being moved to the same table as JC Tran and his huge stack. Other recent eliminations include Brock “t_soprano” Parker, Bryan Micon, Jonathan “driverseati” Tamayo and Shane “scgolfer” Crosly.
Crosly had been seated at the same table as Rob “veeRob” Pearlman, who has 63K in chips. Pearlman called a 4K raise out of the big blind after telling his opponent that he was always raising his blind. His opponent just smiled and they both saw the 8-8-3. Pearlman checked and his opponent bet 5K and Pearlman called. Pearlman bet 12.25K when an 10 came on the river. His opponent tanked for quite a while before deciding to fold.
Jonathan “FatalError” Aguiar took a couple of hits to his stack in the past couple of hours. First, his K-10 failed to hold against a short stack’s K-7 and then he lost a 50K flip that would have put him up to 175K. He is not in bad shape, though, and is currently sitting with around 117K.
Jamie “TheNew” Robbins has recently relocated to the right of fellow P5er Brandon “bgitty” Garrity and he brought along 68K in chips with him. When we talked to Jamie at the beginning of the day he told us he was a little bummed he couldn’t play the $1.5K PLO event today since he final tabled the same event last year, but when we last checked in with him he told us a final table in this event would be an acceptable substitution.
Mike “rivverkiller” Atkinson recently doubled up to 52K when he shoved from the small blind with Q-2 and the player in the big blind called with pocket sevens. The sevens appeared to be in good shape, but a deuce on the flop and another on the turn gave Atkinson the winning hand and the pot.

WSOP Event #5: $1.5K PLO
Matt “All In At 420″ Stout (pictured left) pulled us aside to let us in on a little secret: this is the first live PLO tournament he has ever played. Admittedly, he’s played a few Omaha events online and actually had some deep runs in FTOPS and WCOOP events, but this is his first brick and mortar PLO tourney experience. He seems to be doing just fine though nd is sitting with 37.5K
We owe a quick apology to Scott “stsitron” Sitron. We reported him as more than likely busto earlier, but he is in fact alive and hanging in the event with 6K.
