The hot streak continues for Vivek “Psyduck” Rajkumar. For the last year or so he has been one of if not the hottest player in tournament poker, going deep in event after event and chalking up some big wins. So far the Bay 101 Shooting Star event is going his way as well. He has tangled with Hoyt Corkins a few times recently, getting the best of it each time and building his stack to over 300k.
Vivek raised over the top of a Hoyt open to take one pot preflop, then soon after Hoyt opened again for 4k and 2 players called. Vivek then made it 21k from the small blind and Hoyt was the only caller. On the J

flop Vivek check called a 25k bet from Hoyt and on the Q
turn he led out for 60k. After a long time Hoyt relinquished his hand and Vivek showed the Q
Q
for a turned set. Staying active at his table and using his large stack, Vivek has built up to around 330k as the third level of the day winds to a close.
During the third level Annie Duke and Glen “Choron” Chorny were both eliminated. Annie lost a big flip with AK against queens and was left with only 4k chips. She was able to triple that up a few hands later, but ended up being eliminated before too long. The field was reduced to only 72 players spread across 8 tables. Play will continue today until only 36 remain, with the top 45 making the money. Also notably missing from the action was the chip leader from day 1B yesterday, Isaac “Mr. Menlo” Baron (left). Both Baron and David Pham had top 3 chips stacks to start the day and both have been eliminated in the first three levels of play.
After being moved to the table with Faraz “The-toilet” Jaka (right) and Clayton “Clayton_27″ Newman it wasn’t long before Mohsin “ChicagoCards1″ Charania had his chips racked up and was headed to yet another new table. He did mix it up with Jaka a little, able to win a small pot off of Faraz right before their table broke. In the last hand before the table break Newman moved all in over the top of a 4,500 chip opening raise and was able to pick up a few chips to add to his stack before relocating.
