After sitting in the top portion of the chip counts for most of the tournament things finally went south for Anthony “babygrand” Venturini. His stack fell off throughout the day, to the point where he ended up being put in a position where he had to call off the last of his stack with A8. Shawn “sprstoner” Glines also found himself in the short stack situation, forced to get his chips in with a less than stellar hand and hope for the best. While things didn’t work out for Venturini and Glines, Tom “Titantom32″ Bradand was able to get lucky at the expense of Mike “SowersUNCC” Sowers and is now over 500k in chips after being on the brink of elimination.
After a player moved all in, Venturini called off the last of his chips with A8, only to find out he was in bad shape against his opponents AK. The board did not help Venturini and after a strong run in the LAPC he saw his tournament end with a 35th place finish for $38,085. Glines (left) earned the same payout for his 34th place finish, busting when he moved his short stack all in with the Q

only to run into the pocket eights of Blake “Balla-B13″ Cahail.
Sowers had opened for 42k and Braband moved all in over the top for 277k. The action folded back to Sowers who made the call with pocket jacks, putting Braband and his KJ in immement danger of elimination. A king high flop gave Tom his 3 outer though, and he was able to overcome Sower’s pair of jacks and double through to over 500k.
