Matt “plattsburgh” Vengrin (right) is up to 575k as Day 3 play works into the last level of the day. There was an accidental clock buzzer that caused the clock to stop 15 minutes early on the fourth level of play, but since some players were already out of the room the decision was made to go ahead and take the break and then play out the 15 remaining minutes after break. After the last few hands at the 4k / 8k level the blinds will roll into the 5k / 10k level.
After 90 minutes of play at that level the players will be done for the day and will come back tomorrow at noon to continue play. With one level left to play in the day there are 73 players remaining.
Vengrin was able to pick up some chips with pocket jacks. He called a bet on an 8 high board and then checked behind the other player when a queen hit on the turn. Another queen hit on the river and Matt snap called a bet of 50k on the river. The other player showed K-8 and Matt turned over his jacks to pick up the pot.
A crowd has just gathered around Daniel Negreanu’s table and after the commotion Daniel made his way to the stage where the payouts are being handled marking his elimination from the tournament.
