After hanging on as one of the short stacks all the way through day 2 and late into day 3, Josh “pbdrunks” Van Duyn (left) has been eliminated from the tourney short of the money. As players continue to fall the money bubble gets closer and closer, and with 83 players left only 20 more need to be eliminated for the remaining players to be in the money. With 2 hours worth of play left in the day there is a chance the money will be reached tonight, but likely that a few players will have to come back tomorrow only to come up just short of the money.
Tournament Director Matt Savage recently announced Kofi “redsoxsox” Farkye as the chip leader with over 500k chips and Mike “SowersUNCC” Sowers is back over 400k and trails only Farkye in the chip counts. Anthony “babygrand” Venturini has quietly maintained his spot around the top 5 of the chip counts and is in a very comfortable spot going into money bubble play with 350k chips.
