In Toto, An Average Day by Court on 08.27.09, 2:30 am

When you come in as the short stack your expectations can’t be too high. Toto Leonidas started the day with only 580k but peaked at well over 2 million after a series of double ups. Kevin Schaffel had Toto on the ropes in a hand where Kevin had opened for 200k and Toto moved all in for around 1.2 million. Schaffel made the call and the cards were turned up:

Leonidas: A5
Schaffel: AJ
Board: J98KJ

Schaffel made trips but they were no good against Toto’s flush and Leonidas found himself right back in the mix… but not for long. A few hands later Prahlad Friedman opened a pot for 200k and with his newly increased stack Toto made the call. On the K62 flop Friedman led out for 350k and Toto moved all in for 1.4 million. Friedman made the call and showed the AK for a flopped top pair while Toto was again looking for a flush to keep him alive in the tournament with his A9. This time it wasn’t in the cards and Toto Leonidas went out 4th for $144,260.

With the elimination of Leonidas the tournament is down to the final three with Prahlad Friedman leading the way with over 4 million chips. Todd “tbt4653″ Terry and November Niner Kevin Schaffel will be fighting it out with Friedman for the title.
