One More Time! The Final $1.5K Event by Rachel on 06.29.09, 3:05 pm

The final $1.5K No-Limit Hold’em event of the 2009 World Series of Poker begins today. We’re expecting another sellout field here at the Rio and therefore a whole lot of PocketFivers hitting the felt.

Matt “mattster24″ Sterling (pictured at left), fresh off his final table finish in the $1.5K limit hold’em tournament, is expected to play today as is Faraz “The-Toilet” Jaka, Craig “craigthedeac” Boyd and Michael “gags30″ Gagliano.

There are 2,824 players registered for the event and tournament officials have said there will not be any more seats made available.

We’ll bring all the photos and updates we can beginning when the action does at noon here in Las Vegas.

The 149 players remaining in the $3K NLHE Triple Chance event will return at 2 p.m. Blake “Balla-B13″ Cahail leads all PocketFivers with 120.8K at the end of day one, which is good enough for a tie for fifth place on the overall leader board.
