With Peter “Belabacsi” Traply’s bracelet win yesterday in the $5K NLHE Shootout our bracelet tally is sitting at a robust thirteen. For those of you who are superstitious, might we suggest you win another one for Team P5s to help push our tally even higher?
There are some P5ers with potential to do just that today. Ryan “gotskillz” Fisler and Allen “albari” Bari are still alive in the Razz event, which will play from thirteen players down to one over the course of the day.
Unfortunately, our contingent of Seniors in the Seniors event has dissipated, but just FYI that event will be playing down to a champion today as well.
The one new event one today’s schedule is the $2.5K Mixed Hold’em event. We’ve already heard tell of Louis “MrBeeks” Werman, Matt “mattster24″ Sterling, Jesse “JMaster130″ Cohen, Ben Fineman, Mike “SowersUNCC” Sowers, Corey “comandr_cool” Burbick, and Kyle “thetruth503″ Zartman all playing today and we’re sure we’ll run into tons more P5ers once the event gets underway. Just to let you know how the Mixed Hold’em works, each hour-long level will be divided into half an hour of NLHE and half an hour of LHE. As for the blind structure, the NLHE will begin Level One with the blinds at 25/50, while the Limit portion will begin with 50/100 blinds and 100/200 betting limits.
We’ve got two events returning for Day Two today. The 85 runners in the $10K PLHE event come back at 2PM to play down to the final nine, as do the 195 people still hanging around in the Omaha H/L event. Here are the chip counts of some of the players in those respective events:
