Day 4 play finished up with just 24 players left and those select few are all back at the table in preparation for day 5 action. The schedule for today is the normal 5 levels or down to 10 players, whichever comes first. If Eugene Katchalov brings his hot hand from yesterday back to the tables today they might reach 10 in short order, but if he spreads some of his chips around the day could end up going the full 5 levels.
Fate can turn quickly, as Steve “MrSmokey1″ Billirakis saw late yesterday after he lost with kings against aces and then a coinflip to go from being one of the chip leaders to eliminated in just a matter of minutes. Four players go into today with over 2.5 million chips and will be looking to use their large chip stacks to secure a spot at the televised final table. Katchalov is joined by Christian “charder” Harder (3 million), Yevgeniy “Atimos” Timoshenko (2.6 million) and Justin Young (2.5 million) at the top of the chip counts.
The first level blind level of the day is 15k / 30k with a 4k ante. With 24 players the average chip stack to start the day is 1.4 million chips with a total of almost 34 million chips in play.
