In Event #9, the $1.5k NLHE 6 Handed field is down to 90 players. PocketFives caught up with Jared “TheWacoKid” Hamby (pictured at left) discussing fantasy baseball while short-stacked and Eric “Rizen” Lynch with an equally perilous stack of 17K. Meanwhile, Antuan “bigboybunk” Bunkley kept his table on the edge with his growing stack, faking an all-in push from the button against the small blind. He turned up 83 and laughed good-naturedly; the small blind nervously chuckled.

Ben “bfineman” Fineman, representing for the Philadelphia Eagles in a lucky cap, remained healthy with 51K in chips. After Caroline Cooper’s all-in with AQ couldn’t catch up against AK, Ben finished her off the next hand when his 33 held. Other recent eliminations include Jimmy “gobboboy” Fricke and Steve Paul-Ambrose.

Meanwhile, in Event #10, the $2.5k O8/Stud 8 tables remained stacked with online players. Craig “MrCasino” Gray (pictured at right) remained chipleader with 28.4K, coming strong off his 17th-place performance in the $1K NLHE with rebuys event. He recently sat down at Brock “t_soprano” Parker’s table, who has 18K in chips after a flush busted his Omaha straight draw. Craig gave major props to PocketFives for covering the online community (Thanks, Craig!) before telling a story to Brock about playing with Phil Hellmuth yesterday. He animatedly recounted that Hellmuth gave him a hard time about the online poker community, saying that it was too soft. Craig said that when he asked Phil, “Isn’t bulldozing soft fields your specialty?” Hellmuth had no comeback. Apparently, there’s a first time for everything.

Several P5ers and online pros remain in the field of the $2k NLHE event #7. One such player is Scott “SCTrojans” Freeman (pictured at left) who is currently playing at the same table as Leo “Superfluous Man” Wolpert. With the blinds at 300/600 and a 75 ante Scott raised to 1625 from the hijack and the players on the button and in the big blind called. The flop came 10 high and both the big blind and Freeman checked. The player on the button bet out 3,550, the big blind folded, and Scott thought for a minute before eventually making the call. Another low card came on the turn, Freeman checked again and his opponent bet 5,000. Scott tanked again before moving all in for 5,850 more. The player made the call and showed 55 to Freeman’s AT. The river was the K and Freeman’s pair of tens held, doubling him up to 35,000.

Plenty of players came prepared for today’s rebuy event, armed with a stack of yellow rebuy chips.  Negreanu’s stack of yellow chips rivaled the size of his starting stacks and many others have followed suit.  Play has been loose so far and several players’ have begun the process of building their stacks.  Jared “TheWacoKid” Hamby chipped up early when he got it all in pre-flop with K4.  Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi has already built up his stack to over 30K by frequently moving all-in, often blind.  Ken “isuck123″ Goldin also doubled up early courtesy of Vanessa Rousso (pictured at left) and now has 8K.

Like yesterday’s mixed hold em event, the field today is loaded with good players and several tables boast a number of known live and online pros.  Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy is seated at the same table as Negreanu and Bart Hansen.  Kevin “Bel0wAb0vE” Saul is seated one table over and the two PokerXFactor instructors have been keeping an eye on each other’s progress.  Be sure to check out our text message updates on the left side of your screen, as Bax has frequently been texting in some of the crazier hands.  Other stacked tables include:
