WSOP 2008
Day 1A, WSOP Europe
by Court on 09.27.08, 7:53 am
Last night Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi came up just short of winning a bracelet in the last prelim event at the World Series of Poker Europe, presented by Betfair. Mizzi was down to heads up in the Pot Limit Omaha event, but he ended up finishing in the runner up spot while Theo Jorgensen took the title and the bracelet.
Today kicks off the Main Event at the WSOPE and the last chance for a bracelet in 2008 (except for the members of the November Nine). There are two starting days scheduled for tournament, with half the field playing today and everyone else starting tomorrow. Defending champion Annette “Annette_15″ Obrestad will wait another day to start the defense of her title.
The play is scheduled to start at 1pm local time here in London.
