The last hand of the day was worth $15,000 in cash to Isaac “Mr. Menlo” Baron.  He was able to eliminate Chris Ferguson and pick up a 5k bounty and also build his stack to 153,700 which was enough to put him past Vivek “Psyduck” Rajkumar in the chip counts and give him the $10,000 [...]

As day 2 winds down, more and more all in pots are emerging.  The result, barring a chopped pot or some other weird occurence, are either a double up or an elimination.  For Markus “LURPED” Gonsalves and James “mig.com” Mackey the double up has been the method of choice and both have seen their stock [...]

With three scheduled starting days, the day 1A players have a couple of days off to enjoy the sights here in Niagara Falls. Okay, maybe that should be singular and sight, since as far as anyone can tell, the Falls are the thing to see here. They are impressive though, and worth taking [...]

Day 1A at the North American Poker Championship is off and running.  Due to Canadian gaming restrictions (of which there are plenty) the tournament has to be broken up into three starting days to make sure the field size doesn’t go over the allowed limit.
