Four Tables

In a flurry of eliminations after reaching the money the field quickly dropped from 50 players all the way down to 36. At this stage of the tournament there is a complete redraw every time a table is broken and after drawing for new seats the final 36 are now spread across only 4 tables.
To get down to 36 some serious names had to be eliminated from the tournament. The fallen include Liv Boeree (37th), Mark Seif (38th), Will Failla (39th), Boris Becker (40th), David Singer (41st), David Benyamine (45th), Farzad Bonyadi (47th) and Matt Glantz (49th).
Owen “Ocrowe” Crowe (right) was able to chip up to over a million chips after busting Evan McNiff. When the chips went in Crowe had an open ended straight draw against McNiff’s top pair. Owen didn’t hit is straight but he did pair one of his overs and with that McNiff was sidelined and Crowe chipped up nicely.
Here is a rundown of how the P5ers left in the tourney stack up with 36 players left. They are all trailing Eugene Katchalov who has taken over the chip lead with over 3 million chips.
