It’s Saturday, so you know what that means: another $1.5K NLHE event! We expect yet another 2,000 person plus field packed with P5ers who will all hopefully make it on to Day Two. We have already seen some of them trailing in this morning, including Hunter “The_Hunt_d” Frey, Jamie “thecronic420″ Rosen, Â Kevin “ImaLuckSac” MacPhee, and Jon “sketchy1″ Eaton. We also couldn’t resist snapping a pick of Maria “Maridu” Mayrinck (pictured right) rolling in on her much talked about Vespa. Sorry boys, that isn’t her phone number on the front of it
The $1.5K will start at noon as per usual and shortly after that the final day of play in the most recent $2K NLHE event will resume at 1PM. Seventeen players survived to Day Three, including Joe “Dyzalot” Morneau, Jack “doctor_fun” Powell, Jordan “scarface_79″ Smith, and Jonathan “therookieqq9″ Plens. That event will have a winner determined before the day is done.
Another event playing down to a winner today is the $10K Stud H/L Championship. Day Two whittled the field down to twelve players and Justin “Boosted_J” Smith is still alive, but getting short-stacked in the event. While Smith sits with 237K, tournament chipleader Abraham Mosseri holds a commanding lead with 950K.
At 2PM Day Two of the $2K LHE event will commence. David “Doc” Sands, Alex “Kadabra” Keating, Shannon Shorr and others will play down from 107 players to as close as nine as they can get. We’ll keep you posted on whether a short-stacked Brock “t_soprano” Parker can rally in this event and make a go at WSOP bracelet #3.
Finally, we’ve got one more new event on the agenda for you. At 5PM the $10K Pot Limit Omaha Championship gets underway. Call it a hunch, but we’re guessing this will be another small but stacked field.
