In Event #29’s $3,000 No Limit Hold’em tournament, several PocketFivers remained at the stop of the chip count list; only 24 remain in the contest for $434,789 and WSOP gold. Still in the race were Matt “All In At 420″ Stout, Matt “plattsburgh” Vengrin, Tony “Bond18″ Dunst, and Carter “ckingusc” King, who was nursing a very short stack.
When PocketFives observed the action at the three remaining tables, we saw Leo “Superfluous Man” Wolpert (pictured at left) also guarding a stack in the danger zone; he managed to get it all in with Q

, giving Wolpert the high kicker. He eliminated his opponent in 26th place. Wolpert’s luck didn’t hold, however. Shortly afterward, his K-Q could not catch up to an opponent’s pocket aces when he was trapped on the turn, and Wolpert was out in 25th place. He takes home $11,264 for the cash.
His chipstack moving in the opposite direction, Carter “ckingusc” King managed to pull down a nice-sized pot, increasing his stack to 157K, though he has been short-stacked nearly the whole tournament. Other healthier chip stacks in the tournament include Tony “Bond18″ Dunst with 280K, Matt “All In At 420″ Stout with 225K, and Matt “plattsburgh” Vengrin with 210K.
Meanwhile, in Event #31, the 6-handed No-Limit Hold’em tournament, many online players remain. Of the original 1,012 players in the field, 180 remain with an average-sized stack of 28.
