Stout Survives Day 2, Play Complete For The Night by Court on 08.26.08, 3:54 am

After being as low as 7,800 today, Matt “All In At 420″ Stout (left) was able to rally and finish with 56,000. He is still well behind the chip leaders who come in at over 500k, but he at least has a fighting chance. Matt was able to chip up in a limped pot where he was the big blind and Gabe Gaplan came in from the small blind after another player limped.

On the TT7 flop Gabe checked and Stout bet 3k. The original limper folded and Gabe made the call. Kaplan again checked on the 5 turn and Matt bet 5,500. Kaplan called yet again and the river was the 5. After another check from Gabe, Stout announced he was all in almost instantly. Kaplan folded and Matt was able to grab the pot with what he later admitted to being nothing more than 4-3 offsuit with no spade.

The last level of play wasn’t as kind to Matt “Plattsburgh” Vengrin and Isaac “Mr Menlo” Baron. Both short stacks were eliminated before the day ended.

Full chip counts and seating assignments should be available later, but for now here are some end of day counts from around the room:

Marco “CrazyMarco” Johnson - 258,200 (right)
