While Kofi “redsoxsox” Farkye and Mike “SowersUNCC” Sowers have built their stacks up to over 200k, another list of players have been eliminated. Among the recent eliminations, an always vocal Mike Matusow is no longer part of the tournament. He was all in against James “mig.com” Mackey with AQ against Mackey’s pocket tens and was able to flop a queen, but a ten on the river gave Mackey a set and eliminated Matusow. Mackey is up to just over 40k after winning the hand.
Justin “lockdownpokah” Allen, Christian “charder” Harder, Thayer “THAY3R” Rasmussen, Peter “#1Pen” Neff, and Aaron Been have all been eliminated in recent action that has brought the field down to only 225 remaining players.
Once the remaining players finish up the 400 / 800 level there will be one last level of play for the day with blinds of 500 / 1,000 with a 100 ante. Tournament Director Matt Savage’s player friendly structure has continued to draw many kind words from the players as Savage continues to prove he puts on the best tournaments in the poker world.
