Action has been slow so far in the $1K Seniors Event so we figured we’d take this opportunity to mention the press conference we attended this morning. The Poker Players Alliance, organized by Greg Pappas, announced the launch of pokerpetition.com in front of media members. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley and former Senator Alfonse D’Amato were also in attendance. More than 4,000 people have already visited the site and signed the petition and we ask everyone out there to do your part as well. On July 22, 2009, the petition will be hand-delivered to President Barack Obama during National Poker Week, which you can learn more about at nationalpokerweek.com.
