The bubble just burst in the $1.5k NLHE tournament and while Cody “thugmoneymakr” Slaubaugh, Danny “THE_D_RY” Ryan, and Josh “pbdrunks” Van Duyn have all made the money, Scott “gunning4you” Seiver bust out just a couple spots shy of earning a payday.
When the blinds were at 500/1,000/100, Scott (pictured right) called a short stacked player’s all-in preflop with A
Q
. His opponent held the 6

and Scott was sitting pretty on a flop of A
K
8
, but the 6
on the turn gave the all-in player a lock on the hand and Scott’s stack was knocked to around 15k.
With the blinds upped to 600/1,200/100 and the money bubble looming, Scott raised to 2.6k only to have another player re-raise to 6.5k. Scott then pushed all in for a little more than 20k and his opponent called. Scott showed the A
K
to his opponents Q
Q
. The board ran out J

and Scott was sent to the rail.
The average stack is now around 30k and Van Duyn has around 9k, Ryan is sitting with about 32k and Slaubaugh has 63k.
All the remaining players are guaranteed to take home at least $2,756 but we’re sure they all have the $625,443 first place prize in their sights.
