Sebok, Boyd Sent Home by Brett on 07.14.09, 5:25 pm

Pokerroad fans everywhere let out a sad sigh this past hour as Joe Sebok was eliminated. First Joe lost around half his stack with pocket jacks against another player’s A-10. Then, it folded around to Sebok on the button and he moved all-in for his last 425K or so and Ben “benba” Lamb called out of the blinds. Maimone’s A-Q had Sebok’s A-9 in bad shape and when the board failed to bring a nine Joe was eliminated in 56th place.

Craig “craigthedeac” Boyd tried to get his double-up magic to work a second time today, but it was not to be. Craig pushed all-in with KT and again it was Lamb getting involved, calling with A6. The KJ7 flop looked good for Boyd, but the A on the turn gave Lamb the lead in the hand. The river came 9 and Ben’s pair of aces held to eliminate Boyd in 55th place. Lamb is now sitting with 6.3 million chips.

We missed Scott “stsitron” Sitron’s double up during the first level of the day but Jeff “jeffboski” Sluzinski was kind enough to walk over from Scott’s rail and share it with us. Phil Ivey raised to 135K and Sitron moved all in for about 600K from late position. Ivey called with A-K, which had Sitron’s A-T in need some of some serious help. The 8-6-5 didn’t change anything, but Sitron continued to run hot during the Main Event when the T spiked on the turn. He’d hit the other red ten on the river to add insult to injury and increase his stack to 1.3 million. Ivey was left with around 6.4 million after the hand.

Nick “fu_15″ Maimone’s chip stack soared as high as 6.5 million this afternoon but a hand with Joe “jcada99″ Cada knocked him back to around 4.9 million, which is where he started the day. With the blinds at 25K/50K ante 5K Dennis Phillips limped, Cada raised it to 170K total and Nick called from the blinds and Phillips called as well. The flop came down Q-7-3 and action checked to Cada who bet around 200K, which Maimone called while Phillips folded. The turn brought a jack and Nick check-called a 400K bet from Cada. The river was a 10 and Maimone check-called Joe’s 900K bet with Q-J for top two, which was no good up against Cada’s top set of queens. Cada has been on a rush so far today and is already up to 7 million from the 3.8 million he ended the day with yesterday.
