Saul Gone, Potter Doubles by Court on 03.17.09, 8:26 pm

After dropping below 5,000 chips it wasn’t long before Kevin “BeL0WaB0Ve” Saul (right) was all in, and then all out.  He has been eliminated from the tournament just short of the dinner break.  Jason “JP_OSU” Potter was also all in, and needed a 3 outer to double up.  James “mig.com” Mackey was also in need of a 3 outer, but his didn’t come and he has been eliminated.

Other players missing in action include Shane “Shaniac” Schleger, Bertrand “Elky” Grospellier, Jamie “Cronic420″ Rosen, Jon “Pokertrip” Friedberg, and Peter “#1Pen” Neff. All the tables have went from 10 handed to 9 handed, resulting in some players being moved so there is a slim chance that some of the players listed have just been moved and not eliminated, but a quick scan of the room did not reveal any of the players in new seats.

Potter open shoved the button for 5,200 with the blinds at 150 / 300 and a 50 chip ante.  He was called by Danny Wong with pocket tens and Potter’s A9 needed serious help.  Jason was able to flop an ace and another hit the board for good measure, doubling Potter to over 10k.  Mackey (left) was all in with his AK against the pocket kings of Kathy Liebert, and was hoping to see an ace on board like Potter did, but Liebert’s kings held up to eliminate Mackey.

Around 190 of the 256 that started the day have survived the first 6 levels and made it to the dinner break.  After an hour to grab some grub they will be back at the tables for another 4 levels and 4 hours worth of play.  Those that make it through that will be combined with the 50 players left from yesterdays action to play day 2 on Wednesday starting at 10:45am.
