After having a Main Event Day One that even Kevin “BeL0WaB0Ve” Saul (pictured right) described as a roller coaster, Saul has ditched the theme park ride and opted instead for a rocket. He’s been on quite the rush in Level Five. First he finished off David Singer, eliminating the Full Tilt Pro when Singer’s A-K failed to outrace Kevin’s pocket jacks. Then, Kevin flopped a straight holding Q-9 on a J-10-8 board and stacked another player to send him up to 110K. We caught the latest pot Kevin tangled in just a few minutes ago. With the blinds at 200/400 ante 50 the player under the gun raised to 1.3K total and Saul called from the cutoff. The flop came down 964 and the initial raiser led out for 2.6K. Saul raised to 6.6K total and, after some deliberation, the other player called. The turn was the T and Saul’s opponent checked to him. Kevin fired out 8.5K and the other player went in the tank.

“You don’t want to go home right now, do you?” Saul asked. “Pick another spot.” That is just what the other player did. As he mucked his cards Kevin pushed his hand forward and offered, “pick one.” The other player balked at first, insisting he didn’t want to see one, but once someone else at the table chimed in that they wanted to see a card the other player reluctantly flipped up the T. After the hand Kevin was up to 120K.

James “P0KERP033″ Campbell’s stack also skyrocketed sicne our last update. We didn’t see it, but Campbell explained the hand that gave him the most momentum. Campbell raised from under-the-gun with pocket queens and Rob Mizrachi called from the blinds. On a J-4-2 rainbow flop. Mizrachi checked, Campbell bet 1.6K, Mizrachi raised to 4.4K and Campbell called. a queen hit the turn, giving Campbell top set. Mizrachi checked, Campbell bet 6.5K and Mizrachi called. The river was a 3 and Mizrachi quickly fired out a bet of 10K, leaving around 10K behind. Campbell moved all in and Mizrachi folded. Campbell is up to 95K with less than an hour left in the night.

Justin Bonomo lost a decent part of his stack with pocket tens to queens preflop but rebounded back shortly after. On an 8742 board Bonomo got all of his chips in with pocket aces against another player’s T9. Bonomo faded seventeen outs on the river and has eclipsed the century mark with 106K.

Allen “albari” Bari spent a good chunk of his afternoon slowly grinding his stack up to 50K. Once his table broke and he moved into the Blue section, Bari got a less than warm welcome. We missed the hand, but Bari kindly filled us in. The hand transpired at the 150/300 ante 25 level and the player under the gun limped. The player on his immediate left made it 900 and three people called, including Bari from the big blind. The limper called as well and they were off to a 5-way flop. The cards came down KJT and Allen led out for 2.1K. The limper called then the initial raiser raised to 7K. It folded back around to Bari and he reraised to 21K total. The player who flat called Allen’s bet then moved all-in for 31K total and the third player in the hand re-shipped all-in for 28K right behind him.

At this point, Bari said he was reluctant to call with the second nuts, Q7, but didn’t see how he could fold it and made the call as well. The player under the gun had Bari in bad shape with A8 and the third player turned up his pocket aces. Allen failed to hit his one-outer to the straight flush on the river and the other player scooped the massive pot and eliminated Mr. Pocket Aces. After the hand, Bari was down to 25K or so.

Beau “beauright” Richardson (pictured left) was involved in a bizarre hand on Table 178 in the Brasilia Room. We showed up just in time to see Richardson rake in the pot and Beau was kind enough to recap the action. According to him he opened to 1.15K with the blinds at 100/200/50. A player directly to his left called and another player three-bet to 3.4K from the blinds. Both players called and the flop fell Ax-6-5. All three players checked and the dealer turned a non-spade ten. Richardson bet 3.5K when checked to and both opponents called. A six on the river paired the board and again all three players checked. Beau rolled over two jacks and was shocked when both of his opponents mucked. Richardson pulled in the 20K pot and is now up to 53K.

Upon returning to the Brasilia Room we found Keith Lehr sitting in Andrew “akat11″ Katz’s seat. Unfortunately, that means Katz is bust-o. Joining him on the rail are Court Harrington and Barry “BearW8″ Wiedermann.
