The 36 players that made it through the day yesterday are all in the money and back at the tables. While a guaranteed cash is nice, the real prize is at the top of the payouts and to get a shot at that players have to make it through yet another day for an opportunity to come back and play on tomorrow’s final table of nine.
Yesterday saw chip leaders falter and short stacks rise up. Today will surely have more of the same as the final 36 are thinned down to only 9. Four tables are set up around the room with the main feature table downstairs and the other three tables spread around the upstairs portion of the casino.
The second feature table is in a room to itself upstairs and is host to Jason “treysfull21″ Mercier, Christian “CKRUEL” Kruel, Eric “P3achy_keen” Liu and Andre “aakkari” Akkari. Christian “charder” Harder drew the main feature table and for now Yevgeniy “Atimos” Timoshenko is at the least of the feature tables, but still getting plenty of attention from the camera crews.
Other big names still in the event include Doyle Brunson who is at the table with Mercier and Daniel Negreanu who joins November Niner James Akenhead at the third feature table at the top of the stairs. Timoshenko also has a November Niner at his table with Antoine Saout sitting two seats to his left.
The tables are all cordoned off for the camera crews and access is tight but we will squeeze in where we can to keep an eye on the action.
