With the elimination of Paul Wasicka in 28th place the field was reduced to only 3 tables. After a brief break and the redraw for new seating assignments the players were back in action, with plans to play through the full 6th level of the day or down to 18 players. Chris Ferguson (right) and Payman Arjang hold a hefty chip lead on the rest of the field, both with over 1.5 million while their next closest competitors are all in the mid to high 800k range.
Soon after the redraw Hoyt Corkins found himself sidelined in 26th place and Greg “FBT” Mueller was eliminated in 25th, both earning the $44,433 payout and bringing the field down to only 24 players. Here are a few chip counts from around the room:
Chris Ferguson - 1.5 million
Tom “Titantom32″ Braband - 850k
Mike “SowersUNCC” Sowers - 610k
Peter “Nordberg” Feldman - 420k
Blake “Balla-B13″ Cahail - 250k
