Rajkumar, Boyd and Stout All Out by Court on 10.24.09, 10:40 pm

Another level and another 6 players down in the Festa al Lago. One more level is scheduled for the day but with only 12 players remaining the day could end a little early if 2 players bust before the 90 minute level is complete. Jason “StatusUp” Lavallee stayed hot and sent a few more players home during the level while continuing to build his stack. He jumped up over the 4 million mark during the last level of play and still has over a 2 to 1 chip lead on second place Shawn Cunix who comes in just under 2 million chips.

Lavallee got the level off to a good start busting Matt Glantz soon after the previous break when his AQ had Glantz and his AJ notched in an all in preflop situation. Glantz finished in 18th place for $31,805. Jeff Blenkarn and Dutch “havoj” Boyd (left) also earned the $31,805 for their 17th and 16th place finishes respectively.

Dutch lost an all in to Robert Tepper when his QT couldn’t outrun Tepper’s AJ and then a shortstacked Boyd was finished off by Lavallee when his AT ran into the AK of Lavallee. Dutch had just called a preflop raise but left himself only 15k behind that was bound to go in on about any flop. When both players paired their ace the chips did officially go in and Dutch was headed to the payout cage to collect 16th place money. Tepper would end up finishing in 14th place for $39,760.

Playing the shortstack worked for days for Vivek “psyduck” Rajkumar (right) who just kept holding on. He had a chance to double up with pocket queens against the AK of Lavallee but hot is hot and the K jumped right out on the flop to eliminate Rajkumar in 15th place for $39,760.

Matt “All In At 420″ Stout
was the last elimination of the level, busting just before the clock ran out on the 10k / 20k level. Matt had pocket tens on a jack high flop and ended up moving all in on the turn but Craig Crivello had flopped a set of threes that he played slowly.  Matt’s 13th place finish brought a payday of $39,760 but left him short of the main goal of a WPT final table and a shot at the title.
