Quads For Jaffe, Heads Up Continues by Court on 11.12.08, 2:44 am

After Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little pulled back to even and took a small chip lead it wasn’t long will a big pot was in the works and Jonathan Jaffe was able to get back a 2 to 1 chip lead over Little.

Little had raised to 300k preflop and Jaffe called. On the 822 the action went check check and with the 7 turn Jaffe (right) check raised to 550k after Little bet 200k. Little called and on the 8 river Jaffe led out for 1.65 million chips. Little called the bet only to see Jaffe roll over the 22 for flopped quads. After the hand Jaffe was up to 8.6 million while Little had dropped to 3.7 million.

Little bounced back a few hands later and was able to again close the gap. Little had opened the pot for 300k from the small blind and Jaffe called. On the 988 flop Jaffe checked to Little who bet 400k. Jaffe called and with the Q on the turn both players checked. The 4 hit on the river and after it was checked to him Little bet 1.1 million. Jaffe called and Little showed his JT for a straight to win the pot. After that hand Little was back up to over 5 million chips while Jaffe fell back to around 7.2 million.

A series of small pots brought the two back to even around 6 million each yet again, and Little was able to pull out to a 2 million chip lead after winning a pot with a 3rd bet on the turn. In a pot where Jaffe limped in preflop and Little checked the flop came 873 and Little bet 250k. Jaffe called and on the turn the 7 hit. Little again bet, this time 500k and Jaffe made it an even million to go. Jon Little put in another raise to 2.5 million and made a believer out of Jaffe who folded his hand. With that pot Little jumped back to the lead with 7.3 million while Jaffe saw another chip lead vanquish as he dropped to 5 million.

After getting all the way up to 7.8 million in chips, Little again saw his gains go away as Jaffe was able to double through Little to again take a 3 to 1 chip lead. Little had limped in from the small blind and Jaffe checked. On the A92 flop the fireworks hit as Jaffe led for 375k and Little moved in over the top. Jaffe snap called off the rest of his stack and showed his A2 for top and bottom pair while Little tabled the JT for a flush draw. The T on the turn also gave Little the chance to make trips on the river to win the pot, but the J that hit gave him two pair, but left Jaffe with the bigger two pair and the winning hand for the double up to 9 million chips. Little was left with around 3.3 million.
