After Jason “JP_OSU” Potter (left) opened for 52k from late position and Ryan “Gotskillz” Fisler called from the button Matt Matros raised to 220k. Potter, sensing a squeeze, moved in for the rest of his stack at around 750k. Fisler folded but Matros quickly made the call with his black aces. Potter was caught with his K-7 offsuit and though he had picked up a straight draw by the turn (and a flush draw that was no good) there was no help for him on the river and his move at the pot resulted in an 11th place finish bringing $56,868 CAD.
With the elimination of Potter the 2 remaining tables are now playing 5 handed, and with the next elimination everyone will be combined at one table. Play will then continue down to the final 6 who will make up the World Poker Tour TV final table. The final 6 will return tomorrow to play under the lights and cameras of the WPT final table set.
