After winning two nice pots in the second level Jason “JP_OSU” Potter has amassed almost 100k in chips and is the chip leader in the early part of day 1A at the Foxwoods World Poker Finals.
Potter (right) was able to double up with a turned flush and then able to eliminate a player with his A
K
when a king hit on the turn to overcome the other players pocket queens. After the pot Jason was all smiles as he counted out his chips and came up with a count of 97k.
Matt “Mattg1983″ Graham backed into some chips at his table at the same time as Potter was busting the player at his. On a board of Q

Matt led out for a pot sized bet of 7,625 and after long thought his opponent called. Matt showed the K

for a flush and picked up the pot.
After three players limped in for 200 Jim “POKERPRO33″ Campbell raised to 1,200. Only the middle limper called and on the T

flop it was checked to Jim and he bet 1,800. The other player quickly called and both then checked the A
turn and the 2
river. Campbell showed the A
J
and his turned pair of aces was good enough to win the pot.
For Jon “pokertrip” Frieberg flopping the nuts ended up costing him some chips. On the 8

flop Jon called a 600 chip bet and the turn was the A
and both players checked. With the 8
turn it was checked to Friedberg again and he bet 1,500 only to be raised to 3,500. Jon called the 2k and his opponent showed the Q

for the flush. Friedberg flashed his 7-5 for the flopped straight and mucked his hand.
Jeremy McGlaughlin was all in against Vanessa Rousso with a flush draw against her overpair, but he missed his 12 outs on the turn and river and saw a day that started roughly end early. Shaun Deeb’s (left) starting seat is also vacant, indicating his early elimination from the tournament as well.
