Porter Gets Paid

Being on the good end of kings versus aces is an unexpected gift. For Devin “TranquilChaos” Porter (right) an aces over kings hand was enough to push his stack to over 100k and eliminate Cody “thugmoneymkr” Slaubaugh. In a pot that Jon “PearlJammer” Turner opened and another player raised, Slaubaugh put in another raise and then Porter raised for a pot with an open and 3 raises before the action got back around to the blinds. Once the action folded to Slaubaugh he moved all in for the rest of his 40k and Porter called.
Slaubagh had kings and Porter showed pocket aces. The aces held up, busting Slaubaugh while sending a large pot to Devin. The other player involved in the pot said he had tossed kings in the hand.
Hunter “The_Hunt_D” Frey has also been able to pick up some chips. Seated to the left of Brent “bhanks11″ Hanks who got off to a quick start doubling to over 90k Hunter has also been able to pick up a few pots to gain chips. On a board of K

6 Frey bet 14k and when his opponent put the chips in to call Frey showed the AT to take the pot.
Kevin “BeL0WaB0Ve” Saul has been active in the first few levels. Recently he was able to grab a pot from John Juanda. Another player had opened for 550 and Kevin called from the small blind. Juanda raised to 2,150 from the big blind and Kevin was the only called. On the T95 flop Kevin led for 3,200 and that was good enough to get Juanda to surrender his hand and give Saul the pot.
