Twenty minutes into the playdown day and 3 of the 24 that started the day have already been sent to the payout cage. Richard Sciuto was the first to go falling to Carter “ckingusc” King. Carter came into the day as one of the short stacks with only 119k but Sciuto was one of the three shorter stacks. King moved all in and Richard called with pocket eights only to find out Carter had picked up aces right off the bat. After winning the pot King is up to 240k.
The largest stack starting the day belonged to Todd “tbt4653″ Terry and when shortstack Peter Rho got involved with Terry another small chunk was added to Todd’s stack and another shortstack was sent to the rail. Rho finished in 23rd place still earning the bottom rung payout of $18,285.
Kia Mohajeri was the third elimination of the day, falling in 22nd place when his pocket eights couldn’t outrun the the AK of Sergei Veyster.
The event center at the Bike is in the process of being turned into a WPT final table set so the action for the playdown day has been moved out onto the main gaming floor over in the Mexican Poker area. The three remaining tables will soon be consolidated down to two leaving the players all that much closer to a televised final table appearance.
