As blinds escalate, many players found themselves in a situation where they needed to double up or go home.  Here are how just a few of these all-in altercations turned out:

With the blinds at 1K/2K ante 300 the player on the button raised to 10K and Devin “tranquilchaos” Porter (pictured right) moved all-in from the small blind for around 50K.  Ryan “gutshtallin” Welch snap called from the big blind and the initial raiser folded.  Devin showed pocket sevens to Welch’s AK and it was off to the races.  The board ran out K423Q and with neither player holding a club, Welch took the pot with a pair of kings.  He is now up to 188.5K.

Ryan “youngluc” Young had his chance at a double up when a player in middle position raised to 5K and Young called from the big blind, leaving approximately 18K behind.  The flop came down K65 and Ryan checked.  The other player bet 5K and Young quickly moved all-in.  The other player called and turned over 55 for bottom set and Ryan showed 34 for an open-ended straight flush draw.  The 6 on the turn left Young with only two outs and the 7 on the river failed to bring him his straight flush and he was eliminated.

Also short on chips, Barry “barryg1″ Greenstein raised to 5.2K from under the gun and the player on the button reraised to 16K total.  Greenstein moved all-in for 8K more and his opponent called with AQ to Barry’s JJ.  The board ran out T8639, giving Greenstein a flush and the pot.  He now sits with about 55K in chips.

Just a few hands later at the same table, Stewart “Stuman123″ Yancik raised to 5.1K from under the gun and the same player who doubled up Greenstein moved all in from late position for 20.7K more.  The player in the small blind asked for a count before deciding to call.  Action was back on Yancik, who then moved all-in himself.  The player in the small blind showed pocket nines and folded.  Stewart turned over QQ , while the other player was in bad shape with JJ.   However, when the flop came KJ4, Stewart was left drawing pretty thin.  The turn and river came 5 and 3, dropping Yancik down to 230K.

One final elimination to report is that of Matt “Allinat420″ Stout who managed to make it down to the final 27 players in the $200 second chance event before busting out.  We only hope he has found some equally entertaining way to pass his last few hours here in Biloxi.
