DeWitt Eliminated in 2nd

In our last update we told you that David “DavidP18″ Peters (pictured at left) was crippled when his two pair was no good against the flush of Darryll “DFish” Fish.
Jason “TheMasterJ33″ DeWitt (pictured right) found himself heads up with Jorg Peisert in Event #52, but the match didn’t last more than a few hands.
On the final hand Peisert opened to 180K and DeWitt shipped his 600K stack in the middle. Jorg called with 99 which was ahead of Jason’s K4. DeWitt’s hand did not improve and he was eliminated from the tournament. Jason will go to the cage and collect $313,227 for his second place finish.
Peisert receives $506,800 and his first WSOP gold bracelet.
WSOP EVENT #56: $5K NLHE SIX-MAX
In our last update we told you that David “DavidP18″ Peters (pictured at left) was crippled when his two pair was no good against the flush of Darryll “DFish” Fish.
Well, he isn’t hurting for chips anymore.
By the time we caught back up with Peters at a new table, he had already climbed back up to about 50K. With the blinds at 500/1000 with an 100-chip ante, Peters had 5.5K in the middle before the flop and action was back on Ivan Demidov. Demidov moved all in for (very) approximately 25K and Peters made the call. Peters showed A
Q while Demidov showed K
J. The board ran out Q7
36A and Peters eliminated the Main Event runner-up and increased his stack to around 80K.
He collected some more chips a short time later. With the board reading J72
Q4, the player in seat one bet 12K. Peters made the call and showed 99. Seat one mucked and Peters scooped the pot.
Eric “whitE_mAmbA” Ladny (pictured at right) has been eliminated, but Owen “ocrowe” Crowe is still seated at the table he used to share with Ladny. Crowe raised to 2.5K before the flop from first position and the player in big blind was his only caller. The flop was J95. The big blind checked and Crowe bet 2.8K. The big blind called and the turn was the J. Again Crowe’s opponent checked and he bet 6.2K. The other player called and the river was the 7. It was checked to Crowe again and he bet 13K. Seat two made the call. Crowe tabled JT and his relieved opponent tabled JT to split the pot.
Brent “BHanks11″ Hanks called the small blind’s raise to 2.5K before the flop from the big blind and the players saw a flop of 987. The small blind bet 2K and Hanks made the call. Both players checked the A on the turn as well as the 3 on the river. The small blind turned over Q3 but that wasn’t enough to beat Hanks’ 85 and he took the pot.

The past hour has been wild one for Josh “theNorfman Norris. Norris was sitting pretty with 275K, but after losing a race holding AQ he slipped to just 15K. “Then I just started going all in,” he told us. Josh proceeded to double-up three times and is back up to 276K.
