After dropping to 300k Jon “pokertrip” Friedberg (right) moved all in with T9 and was called by AQ. Friedberg flopped a ten but a queen on the turn gave Jack Schanbacher the lead in the hand and ultimately the win. Friedberg’s 11th place finish brings $36,826 but has to leave Jon disappointed after holding the chip lead when the field was down to 17 players.
After Friedberg’s elimination the final 10 were consolidated to one table to play out the last few minutes of the last level of the day. Play will end when the clock runs out or when the next player is eliminated. Either way, there will be only a couple of hands left in the day.
Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little joins Mike Matusow, David Pham and Jon Jaffe at the final table of 10. Full end of day chip counts will be available shortly.

After going on an impressive heater to take the chip lead, things have cooled off for Jon “pokertrip” Friedberg and he has seen his large stack fall to the middle of the pack as play continues into the last level for the day. Friedberg was over 1.7 million at one point but after bluffing off a few chips and then flopping top set and losing he now has less than a third of his previous stack with only around 550k chips.
The biggest hit came when Tom Nguyen opened for 47k and both Friedberg and Charles Marchese called. On the T
9
8
flop Friedberg led out for 66k and Marchese was the only caller. With the 3
on the turn Friedberg led out for a pot sized bet of 300k and Marchese moved all in for not much more and Friedberg made the call with his pocket tens for top set. Marchese had flopped the nut straight with his QJ and Friedberg needed the board to pair to win the hand. A jack on the river was no help though and Friedberg saw a pot of almost 1 million chips go to Marchese.
Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little is still sitting with around 1.3 million, about where he was after his big double up earlier. The blinds are currently 10k / 20k with a 3k ante.

After falling to less than 500k and near the bottom of the chip stacks with 14 players remaining, Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little (left) was able to chip back up to over 600k and then get a big double up to jump to the top tier of chip stacks.
David Pham had opened, Bill Gazes put in a raise and Little came over the top all in. Pham folded but Bill made the call with his A
Q
only to find out he was up against the pocket kings of Jon Little. The big pair held up and Little saw his stock rise to 1.3 million in chips, putting him up near the top along with Jon “pokertrip” Friedberg, Mike Matusow, and David Pham who has recently cracked the 1 million chip mark.

After mounting multiple comebacks, the run has finally come to an end for Kevin “BeL0WaB0Ve” Saul. Kevin was involved in two race situations, both times with pocket threes and both times he came out as the loser. The first hand Kevin moved in over the top of a Jack Schanbacher raise and Jack called with AQ. A queen hit the board doubling jack up to nearly 600k while dropping Kevin down to around 150k.
A few hand later Kevin (right) moved in over the top of a Richard Dabal raise in a battle of the blinds. Dabal raised from the small blind and Kevin moved in from the big blind. Dabal called with the Q
J
and the turn that was so good to Kevin during his comeback yesterday went against him today. The Q
fell on the turn to pair Dabal and eliminate Saul in 18th place for $29,073.
Arthur Azen was eliminated at another table just before Saul’s bustout, but since the hand with Kevin had already started it was played out. The players redrew for new seats after the end of the hand, and whether Kevin had won or lost the field would have been consolidated to two tables.
Jon “pokertrip” Friedberg filled up rack after rack with chips, and after unpacking his nearly 1.7 million at his new table he sits as the chipleader of the tournament, with his closest competitor across the table from him in the form of Mike Matusow. The third largest chips stack, Tom Nguyen, is also at the table.
Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little is at the other table with Bill Gazes, Jon Jaffe and David Pham.
