More P5ers in Contention for Bracelets Thursday

What a World Series it’s been for online players. Six bracelets have been awarded to five different P5ers already (Brock “t_soprano” Parker won his second last night) and another could be added to that list when the $1,500 Pot Limit Hold ‘em Event plays down to a winner this evening. Jason “TheMasterJ33″ DeWitt (476K) and Ravi “govshark2″ Raghavan (145K, pictured right) will take their seat at the ESPN featured table at 2 p.m. local time with each eyeing their first gold bracelet and a prize of $194,434. It is the first WSOP final table for both players.
The $3,000 HORSE event has 21 players remaining, some of which are in for a long day as a champion will be crowned in the event late tonight. Zac “Zacpacker” Fellows (471K) enters the final day as the chip leader while Stewart “StuMan23″ Yancik (284K) is near the top of the leaderboard. Aaron “ndgrinder59″ Steury is on the short stack with 30K. Play will kick off at 1:00 p.m.
The second round of the $1.5K NLHE Shootout gets underway at 2:00 p.m. and more than a dozen P5ers will attempt to win their table and advance to tomorrow’s final round. One table draw starting the day includes Scott “SCTrojans” Freeman, Mike “SowersUNCC” Sowers, David “Bakes” Baker and Mike Woodward. Others who made it through Day 1 were Jared “TheWacoKidd” Hamby, Steve “gboro780″ Gross, Matt “All In At 420″ Stout and Brent “bhanks11″ Hanks.
Fifty-seven of the original 96 players in the $10K No Limit Deuce-to-Seven draw event will resume play at 2:00 p.m. in the Orange section of the Amazon Room. Shawn “sbuck21″ Buchanan, Sorel Imper1um” Mizzi and Justin “Boosted J” Smith are among those looking to reach Day 3.
Event #24, another $1,500 No Limit Hold ‘em event, just got underway at Noon. Close to 2,400 players have registered with more expected in the first two levels. Some players we’ve spotted already include Chad “lilholdem954″ Batista, Cory “UGOTPZD” Caroll, Faraz “The-Toilet” Jaka, Mark “dipthrong” Herm and Jay “SEABEAST Kinkade.
