When play got down to the final 36 there was a redraw for new seats, and once everyone found their new locations table 4 was the host to Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi, Joe Sebok and Brian “SN8WMAN” Hawkins sitting in that order in the 2,3, and 4 seats.
Sebok (left) was bluffed out of a small pot preflop by Hawkins, when Brian moved all in from the big blind. Joe folded and Brian decided to show his Q-5 offsuit. After a little banter between the two the action worked around and when the button got back to Sebok and it was folded to him he moved in for 95k. Hawkins went into the tank from the small blind and finally announced his all in, committing his 165k chips to the pot. The big blind folded leaving Sebok and Hawkins heads up.

flop. The 4
on the turn was another blank, but the 6
on the river made two pair for Joe but filled Hawkins gutshot draw for a straight. After picking up the pot Hawkins has around 280k.
Sebok’s 34th place finish is worth $30,621 CAD. Mizzi also got the same payout. After betting preflop one player had 54k out in front of him, Kathy Liebert had raised to 125k and Sorel had moved in for just a few thousand over Kathy’s bet. The other player in the pot folded and once the cards were turned up Sorel saw that his pocket queens were running behind Liebert’s aces. There was no help for him on the board and Liebert’s aces that ended up making a set on the river were enough to eliminate Mizzi (right) in 33rd place.
Xuan “X2then” Nguyen called an all in raise of 93k over the top of his opening bet, but when the cards were turned up both players had AJ offsuit. The board ran out and the pot was chopped, leaving Nguyen with around the 200k he started the hand with.
Right after the table draw at 36 player Jason “JP_OSU” Potter made an all in move on Ryan “Gotskillz” Fisler. Both had deep stacks of over 500k and after Potter raised to 22k Fisler made it 65k. Jason then announced all in, which was roughly 475k more to Ryan. Fisler thought for a while, but finally decided against playing a million chip pot preflop at that stage of the tournament and folded his hand. Fisler and Potter have Nguyen sitting in between them at table 2, with Erik Seidel in the one seat.
Potter (left) was also able to pick up some chips from Seidel. On a Q

flop Potter bet 29k and Erik raised to 80k, announcing “eighty” as he put out four stacks of four of the yellow 10k chips worth a total of 160k. The verbal and chip movement were roughly at the same time, but with no protest from either player the 80k bet was allowed to stand with no debate. Potter made the call and both players then checked the rest of the way with the board coming 2

. Potter was the first to show and his Q

was enough to get Erik to much his hand.
Over at table 3 Vivek “psyduck” Rajkumar has Marc Karam on his immediate left and Gavin Smith across the table, along with Steve Paul-Ambrose on his right. While Vivek is able to learn a little from his new poker hero Gavin Smith, he has also been able to pick up a few chips.
After opening a pot to 22k and getting a call from the big blind Vivek and the other player both checked all the way to the river of a A

board where the big blind led for 40k. Vivek called and the other player said “I have a seven.” Vivek then showed his J

to take the pot.
The table with Vivek and Gavin (right) seems to be having the most fun, with an animated Gavin Smith keeping the table talking. After asking Marc Karam about the pronunciation of his last name, to which Karam replied “I have heard it said so many different ways I don’t even know,” Gavin went on to say he would always raise AJ under the gun, but the guy he was talking to shouldn’t listen to him because he would also be raising 97 offsuit and a lot of other suspect hands as well.
Later when Gavin won a pot with a bet on the turn, announcing he was betting 17k on the river no matter what came, he showed his middle pair, gutshot and overcard. The other player said something about getting Gavin off the hand, and Gavin replied “good luck with that, getting me to fold a gutshot and an overcard…”
As the banter went on, Gavin’s style of play and chatter prompted Vivek into saying “Gavin Smith you are awesome. You are my hero.”
