Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier and Owen “ocrowe” Crowe (pictured left) both crossed the million chip mark in the past hour.
Crowe was the first, and after doing so he was involved in the first million chip pot of the tournament. After six bets, Owen and Brian “snagglepuss” Powell who had 700K got it all in pre-flop. Cameras and reporters rushed to the table to catch who won the monster pot only to see that it was chopped. Both players held aces and neither was lucky enough to catch a four flush. Unfortunately for Crowe he has since lost a big pot and dipped down to 700K.
Grospellier jumped over the million chip mark when an opponent raised him all in on the river with just second pair. ElkY took his time before making the call and eventually did with middle set. Grospellier raked in the 700K pot to become our second millionaire and is still over a million in chips.
There are plenty of other P5ers with big stacks including Billy “Patrolman35″ Kopp.

when Billy led out for 16.2K and his opponent moved all in for an additional couple thousand. Kopp quickly made the call tabling 65
which was ahead of his opponent’s KJ. Kopp needed to fade a jack on the river and did so when the dealer spiked the A onto the felt. Billy raked in another nice-sized pot, pushing his stack above the 600K mark.
Mike Sexton is captain of a nearby table. Sexton pushed an opponent all-in holding threes and his opponent opened two kings. The board ran true until the 3 fell on the river. The players and the rail exploded and Sexton was all smiles while raking in the pot.
Kirk “idareyouAA” Banks (pictured left) took a hit to his stack when a player raised at the 1.2K/2.4K blind level, Banks called on the button, and Kevin “BeL0WaB0Ve” Saul called from the big blind. Saul checked the A93 flop and the initial raiser bet out 5K. Banks called and Saul folded. The turn was the 7 and the initial raiser checked to Kirk who bet 12.5K. The other player called and the river came 7. Banks’ opponent bet out 5K, leaving 34K behind, Kirk moved all-in, and his opponent insta-called with 33 for a full house. Banks showed KQ and dropped to around 150K.
Jon “sketchy1” Eaton also took a hit to his stack when he moved all in pre-flop a player in seat four quickly called. Eaton had his opponent covered just barely, but he was in trouble holding KK to his opponent’s AA. The board ran out Q83JA and Eaton was left to just 11K. He has done some work since the loss, though, and is back up to 62K at last check.
Maria “Maridu” Mayrinck’s patience paid off and she doubled up the past level when she raised on the button and a player put her all-in from the big blind. She quickly called with pocket kings which had the other player’s A-J in bad shape. The kings held and she doubled up to 130K. Maria has Stephen “stevie4444″ Chidwick and David “Bakes” Baker on the rail sweating her progress and sweating the flops. They’ve been betting red and black boards and had a bet where any time the 5 was exposed Bakes won $200 and every time the 8 was exposed Chidwick won $200. There was a misdeal at Mayrinck’s table because the dealer forgot to deal her a card. Maria was curious what card she was supposed to get and convinced the player on her left to turn it face up for her. He showed the 8 and Maria’s curiosity won Stevie $200.
