A Milli by Rich on 07.07.09, 12:12 am

Before dinner break the official prize pool and payouts were announced by Jack Effel at the secondary feature table. Each member of the 2009 “November Nine” will receive a minimum of $1,263,602 and the winner will not only receive the most coveted bracelet of them all, they will also bank $8,546,435. Of the 6,494 players, 648 will be paid a minimum of $21,365.

The players are just returning from dinner break and Sean “swd805″ Dorn is wasting no time getting back into action. In a multi-way limped pot Dorn led out for 800 with the board reading Q72. Action folded to a player on the button who moved all in for just over 5K. Sean looked a bit confused, but after thinking the situation over he made the call. The hands looked like this:

Dorn: QJ
Button: A9

Dorn held one of his opponent’s outs, but he still needed to fade eleven cards twice. The K on the turn was a brick and so too was the 2 on the river. Sean’s opponent hit the rail and after that fade Dorn sits with over 30K.

Chris “SLOPPYKLOD” Klodnicki is off to a bit of a slower start than Dorn. He called a raise to 850 before a flop of J43. The player in seat eight bet 1.3K and Klodnicki made the call. The turn was the 8. Seat eight checked and Klodnicki appeared to spend quite some time thinking about what to do. It turns out that Klodnicki just didn’t know the action was on him, finally asking “Did he check?” before checking behind. Klodnicki’s tablemates got a laugh at his expense as the A fell on the turn. Seat eight checked again and Klodnicki bet 2.5K. Seat eight asked if he had A-Q before making the call. Klodnicki tapped the table before turning over 55 and his opponent showed AT to take the pot.

Across the room Marco “CrazyMarco” Johnson bet 600 on the turn with the board reading 7435. His opponent called and the river was the A. Johnson bet 1.8K this time and again he was called. Johnson tabled J2 for a straight but he was beaten by a better straight with the other player’s A6.

The seat formerly belonging to Kevin “ImALuckSac” MacPhee is now filled by David Benyamine, so we are presuming he has busted out of the Main Event.
