After Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little eliminated Matusow and Schanbacher the two Jonathan’s had pulled away from Charles Marchese and David “The Dragon” Pham. Both Pham and Marchese were able to mount small comebacks, but then the two played a pot against each other and Marchese came out on top, sending The Dragon back to his cave. In the hand where Little eliminated Schanbacher, Pham was left with a short stack, and after blinding down bit he was left with less than 300k with blinds of 30k / 60k and a 5k ante.
When The Dragon (right) moved in for his last 280k both Jonathan’s called from the blinds. Jaffe led out on the 8

flop for 150k and Little called. On the Q
turn and the 3
river both players checked and Jaffe’s A8 was good enough to win the side pot but Pham’s AQ took the main pot and he was able to triple up.
Marchese was all in for his last 800k a couple of hands later with pocket sixes against Jaffe who found himself in a bad spot with pocket fives. The bigger pair held up and Marchese was able to get the double up to stay alive in the tournament.
When the action folded to Marchese in the small blind he limped in and Pham then moved all in for his last 740k. Marchese called the all in bet and the two were racing with Pham’s pocket deuces needing to outrun the KJ for Marchese. A flop of A

left Pham in dire straits and there was no help for him down the road. In his 7th WPT final table The Dragon again comes up short. Pham’s 4th place finish earns him $240,344.
