At the end of the the previous level both Amit “Amak316″ Makhija and Bryan “badneatninja” Devonshire had seen their stock rise to over 500k. Another hour and a half later and Makhija is sitting behind a pile of chips that totals up to 850k while Devo saw all of his chips go to Danny Alaei in a massive pot that put Danny over 1 million chips and in the chip lead.
Devonshire opened from the cutoff and Alaei called from the small blind. On the A

Danny checked and Devo bet 18,500. He was raised to 42k but came over the top with another raise making it 108,500. Alaei called and the players went to the 4
turn with a huge pot brewing. Alaei again checked and Devo bet 166k only to have Danny move in for around 400k. Devo made the call but his AQ was running behind the AK of Alaei and the river was no help giving Alaei the pot worth over 1.1 million and leaving Devo with just a pittance of chips. Bryan was elimated a few hands later.
Two double ups made the previous level a good one for Carter “ckingusc” King the first coming when he had aces and the second when he was able to pair one of his overcards on the river to fade elimination and build his stack to just 350k which is a lot better than where he was earlier but still short of the larger stacks in the room.
Along with Alaei and Makhija, Chad “M8kingmoves” Batista also has a pile of chips adding up to over 800k and Mike “SowersUNCC” Sowers isn’t far behind with 750k. Players have one more level for the day and will then be done for the night. With only 5 tables remaining and the top 27 getting paid the money bubble looms but it is likely that the bubble won’t quite be reached tonight.
