Nick “fu_15″ Maimone (pictured left) was down to 12K at one point during Day 1B, but after bagging and tagging he will most likely enter Day 2A second in chips.
Maimone stormed through the middle levels of the day, growing his chip stack above 130K. On one of the last hands of the night Nick flopped a queen-high flush but lost the pot to an ace-high flush. He was unable to pull in the 14K pot, but still finished the night with a huge, 123K stack.
Tim “tmay420″ West saw a flop of Q

along with one other player. West checked and the player in seat seven bet 2K. West made the call and the turn was the 7
. West checked again and seat seven bet 3K. West made the call again and the river was the 5
. Both players checked and seat seven flashed his hand before tossing it into the muck when he saw West’s A-Q.
Owen “ocrowe” Crowe was moved to his fifth table of the day (according to him) toward the end of the night and immediately starting applying some pressure. Crowe raised to 800 before the flop and got two callers. The flop was T

. Crowe and another player checked to seat three who bet 2K. It folded back to Crowe who then raised to a total of 7K. The player picked up four orange chips, or 20K, and acted for a moment like he might toss them in before slamming them back down onto a stack of 1K chips and mucking his hand.
Crowe’s final table was right next to the table David “doubledave22″ D’Alesandro sat at for the entire day. He raised to 800 during the final level of play and was re-raised to 1,750 by the player in seat nine. D’Alesandro made the call and the flop was A

. Both players checked, just as they did when the J
fell on the turn. The river was the T
. D’Alesandro bet 2,550 and the player in seat nine called.
“Full house,” D’Alesandro said, showing his J
T
to rake in another pot. He finished the day with 93.7K.
Joe Sebok (pictured right) went on another huge rush toward the end of the night, chipping up to close to 80K before play concluded. Just minutes before players bagged up their chips a crowd surrounded his table and the ESPN cameras came rushing over. Sebok had put in a three-bet to 5.5K and the small blind four-bet to 15.5K. The original raiser took some time before folding and Sebok moved all in, having the four-bettor covered. The player took close to five minutes thinking over his move and even took a shot of liquor with Jason Young, who was sitting at an adjacent table, in the meantime. He finally decided to fold, revealing his Q
Q
. Sebok declined to show his hand and raked in a pot worth almost 18K.
A bluffing war including Joep “Pappe_Ruk” van den Bijgaart ensued over on Table 34. The board read Q

J

when van den Bijgaart’s opponent put in a small, value-sized bet of 3K. Joep sighed while studying both the board and his opponent.
“Will you show?” he asked his opponent. The man agreed to show and Joep folded. His opponent tabled 7

.
“F*&% MY LIFE!” Joep shouted.
Needless to say, a few hands later the same two saw a flop of 9

and van den Bijgaart led out for 4K. His opponent folded and Joep tabled Q-3.
“Now we’re even,” he said with a grin.
Nathan “darkcheck_” Tuthill will enter day two with just over 12K in chips after losing a big pot during the final hour of play. We caught up with the action on the turn with the board reading J

. The player in seat four led out for 8K and Tuthill made the call. The Q
came on the river and seat four bet 13K into an approximately 30K pot. Tuthill made the call and his opponent showed 5

, forcing Tuthill to muck his hand.
Walter “JLizard” Wright (pictured left) suffered two coolers in the last level of play. On a Q

board Walter checked to an opponent who bet 1.5K. Wright min-raised to 3K, his opponent re-raised to 10K, Walter pushed all in and his opponent snap-called.
“Queens?” Wright asked sheepishly.
His opponent nodded and rolled over Q

. Walter revealed 9

for a weaker full-house. The J
on the river was irrelevant and Wright was left with just 4K. Walter called for cocktails and ordered a beer and a couple patron shots after the cooler. Just after the drinks arived, Wright pushed all in with KK and ran into AA. The board ran dry and he was eliminated.
