Bryan Micon (pictured at left) was involved in a very strange hand over on Table 82 in the Orange Section of the Amazon Room. The board read J

when we arrived. The small blind checked, the big blind bet 200 and three players called including Micon. The river was the 6
and both blinds checked to an older gentleman who bet 250. Bryan cut out a raise and eventually tossed 950 into the pot. The small blind called, the big blind folded and the older gentleman grabbed six yellow 1K chips and splashed the pot with them. There was a pause before the man said, “Thats a call…right?”
The dealer informed him that it was a raise since he did not announce “call.”
“Whatever,” the man grunted. “It’s fine.”
Micon stood up from his chair. “Are you leveling me sir?” he asked.
“I don’t know,” the man said. “I’m an old man.”
Bryan frowned and made the call, the small blind folded and the man turned over 6

for a rivered full house. Micon flashed A

before mucking and could do nothing but laugh. The hand didn’t cripple Bryan, he is still in fine shape with 25K
There were actual chip issues at Pat “TorontoToro” Pezzin’s table. The river had been dealt and the board read T

. A player in the small blind checked and Pezzin flipped an orange 5K chip in the middle. His opponent, thinking the bet was just 1K, tossed in a yellow chip. Pat started to open his hand but quickly closed it when he realized the man’s mistake. Both cards were clearly paint.
The man did not want to call the 5K, but when the floor was called over they informed him that since his intention was to call the action was binding. Pezzin tabled K

for a straight and his opponent angrily mucked his hand.
It isn’t often you make quads in a live tournament. So frustration sets in when you don’t get paid off with them. We didn’t catch up with the hand until the river, but on a J

board Joe “LatestLines2″ Ward (pictured at right) led out with a bet and a player called. Both players checked the J
turn and Ward fired 1.3K after the 7
hit the river. His opponent laughed and laid down his 3

. “Oh my god,” Ward responded as he tabled 7

. “He flops a set and I make the minimum. That should go all in on the flop.” Alec “traheho” Torelli, seated to Ward’s right, attempted to make him feel better: “Hey, you could have made zero.” Ward has 35K midway through Level 2.
Action is progressing in the Miranda and Brasilia Rooms.
Michael “moneyinbag” Aron checked to his opponent on the turn with the board reading 7

. The player in seat nine then bet 1.1K and raised to 2.3K more. The other player called and the river was the J
. Aron made a bet of 10K, which was at least the size of the pot, and his opponent called after just a few moments of thought.
“Two pair,” said Aron, but he had to muck when his opponent showed 9

for a flopped flush. Aron was left with about 23K in his stack.
Alex “AJKHoosier1” Kamberis and Steve “PiKappRaider” Burkholder are seated at the same table in Brasilia. The two were involved in a small pot early when they and three other players limped preflop with the blinds at 100/200. The flop was A

. It was checked to Kamberis, who bet 600. It folded back around to the player in seat five, who make it a total of 2.1K, forcing Kamberis to fold. At last check Kamberis had 26K left from his original 30K.
Dan “Wretchy” Martin (pictured at left) has had a rough day thus far. He put in a re-raise to 4K before the flop and the player in seat two made the call. The flop was K

. Martin bet 6.1K and his opponent called. Both players checked the K
on the turn and the 6
on the river.
“You win,” said Martin, flashing his pocket eights. The other player showed Q

.
“I knew you had queens,” he said. Martin’s stack was down to 16K at that point.
Later in the level Martin called a raise to 550 before the flop and the player in the small blind re-raised to 1.8K. Both the player in seat nine and Martin called. The flop was Q

. The small blind led out for 3K, seat nine folded and Martin called. The turn was the 5
and both players check. They checked again when the 7
fell on the river. The small blind showed J
