Both Daniel “amichaikk” Makowsky and Eric ”whitE_mAmbA” Ladny, (pictured at left) who had been the chipleader for much of the final table in the $2K NLHE event, have been eliminated from the event.
A short-stacked Makowsky was eliminated in sixth place. His pocket threes fell to an opponent’s A-K when a king came on the flop.
Ladny’s road to elimination started when he doubled up a short stack after his pocket jacks couldn’t beat his opponent’s A-9 offsuit. Then this hand happened:
The player in seat one, Angel Guillen, raised to 100K and Ladny re-raised to 325K. Guillen eventually moved all in and Ladny called. Guillen was way ahead with his pocket kings to Ladny’s pocket tens and the board did not help Ladny’s cause. He was left with just about 550K with the blinds at 20K/40K with a 5K ante while Guillen scooped the 3.1 million chips.
Just an orbit or two later Ladny got the remainder of his chips in when Guillen opened to 110K and Ladny shoved all-in for around 600K. Guillen called with K
T
and Eric turned up pocket jacks. The door card was the K
, prompting a loud cheer from Guillen’s railbirds, and the rest of the flop ran out 7
5
. The turn was the Q
, eliminating any backdoor flush possibilities for Eric, and the river 7
sent Ladny packing in 5th place. He earns $108,883 for his 5th place finish while Makowsky will take home $86,548 for 6th.
WSOP EVENT #35: $5K POT LIMIT OMAHA
Joining the action in the middle of this four-way hand left us a little short on the details, but we’ll let you know how it ended. Marco “CrazyMarco” Johnson, Chris “Genius28″ Lee(pictured at right), Berry Johnston and another player played a big pot on the last hand before the dinner break.

. The turn was the 5
and the river was the 8
. The player in seat seven ended up with the chips as a result of turning a spade flush. Lee was left with 10K while Johnson has about 22K left. Berry Johnston was eliminated.
Scott “BigRiskky” Clements eliminated John Juanda a little earlier in the level. Clements raised to 4.2K before the flop and Juanda called. The flop was Q

. Clements led out for 10.8K and Juanda moved all in. Clements made the call and showed A

One of the biggest stacks in the room belongs to Isaac “Mr. Menlo” Baron, who has 140K at break.
WSOP 2009 Event #34: $1.5K NLHE
On the last hand before the dinner break Zachary “CrazyZachary” Clark (pictured left) was facing an under the gun raise to 5.2K with the blinds at 1.2K/2.4K ante 300. It folded around to Clark in the big blind and he tanked for four and a half minutes before someone at the table called the clock on him. With ten seconds left before his hand was dead, Zachary moved all-in for 40.8K total. The initial raiser had Clark covered and now had his own big decision on his hands. He eventually called and showed 8
8
, which was trailing Clark’s Q
Q
. The queens held as the board ran out T
{6s]3
A
A
and Clark doubled up to 77K.
After the hand, several people at the table expressed shock that Clark tanked so long with queens, including his friends Jared “TheWacoKidd” Hamby and Cody “thugmoneymkr” Slaubaugh, who gave him some kind-hearted ribbing for his sorta-slowroll as they headed out to grab a bite to eat.
The 104 players remaining in the $1.5K event will return from their one hour dinner break at approximately 7:30PM PT. Here are some updated chip counts from players he still spotted in the field as play wound down to the break:
