We just witnessed something bizarre on the last hand before the first break of Day 2A. As the Amazon Room was clearing out Ludovic “Cutsss” Lacay was involved in a big hand against another player. With the board reading 8

Lacay (pictured left) fired out 15K into a pot of 25K. His opponent, who had around 25K in his stack, leaned back in his seat and began working through a decision. After two minutes he called and Lacay showed 6

for trip fives. His opponent stood up, looked at his hand and fired it into the muck. “I had pocket nines… full house,” he said as he stared at the board. Lacay was oblivious to the situation as he had his headphones on and began stacking his new chips, which now total 130K. The others standing around the table stared at each other in disbelief as the man took off for his break. We asked the dealer if we saw Lacay’s hand correctly and he confirmed that Ludovic did in fact have 6

. These are things you just don’t see playing online poker.
Michael “benvo123″ Benvenuti, who began the day in the Brasilia Room, is now in the Amazon Room and his stack has shrunk to 15K. He told us about the hand where most of the chips were lost. Benvenuti said he raised under the gun with A-10 and the person to his direct left was his only caller. The flop was K-10-X with two spades. Benvenuti bet 1.4K and the other player called. The turn was another 10. Benvenuti bet 2.6K and the other player raised to 10K. Benvenuti then put him all in for about 15K more and the other player called with K

. Unfortunately for Benvenuti, a spade fell on the river and the big pot was shipped away from him.
Jay “SEABEAST” Kinkade (pictured right)told us he had chipped up to 93K right before this hand with John Hennigan. Jay raised to 1,025 before the flop and was called by the player in seat nine and Hennigan from the blinds. The flop was K

. Hennigan checked and Kinkade bet 1,925. The player in seat nine folded and Hennigan called. The turn was the J
. Hennigan check-called a bet of 3,325 from Kinkade this time. The river was the 4
. Hennigan checked again and Kinkade checked behind. The players turned over their hands simultaneously. Kinkade showed K

but could only say “wow” and laugh when he saw the 4

held by Hennigan.
Ryan “gutshtallin” Welch added a few chips to his dangerously short stack just before the players left on their first break of the day. We caught he and another player checking a flop of A

as well as the turn Q
. After the A
came on the river the player in seat eight bet 500 and Welch reluctantly called. His Q
9
was good, though, and he now has about 6K with the blinds increasing to 250/500 with an ante of 50.
Corey “comandr_cool” Burbick’s also added some chips to his stack. The player in seat two raised to 1.2K and Burbick re-raised to 3.6K. The flop was J

. Burbick bet 4.2K and his opponent called, leaving himself with about 13K behind. The turn was the A
. Burbick bet enough to put his opponent all in and after a few minutes of thought the other player released his hand. Burbick now has 82K.
We’ll have a long list of chip counts for you in the next hour.
