Joe “jcada99″ Cada is back close to the average stack after doubling through a player midway through Level 22. Cada, the chip leader after Day 1B, saw a flop of A99 with one other player and checked. His opponent led out, Cada check-raised and his opponent moved all in. Cada called and showed J9 while the other player tabled his AQ. Cada’s tournament life was on the line but the turn and river bricked and Cada increased his stack to 1.2 million.

Billy “Patrolman35″ Kopp had a deja vu moment this past level when he busted another player holding pocket queens to his pocket aces. Billy opened for a raise to 59K at the 10K/20K ante 3K blind level and Dennis Phillips called. Nasr El Nasr then 3-bet to around 175K and Kopp retaliated with a 4-bet to 500K. Nasr then moved all-in with his queens for 1.3 million total and Kopp snap called. The aces held, Nasr was eliminated and Kopp now has 4.65 million.

Jamie “The New” Robbins overcame his previously reported bad beat by handing out one of his own during the past level. A player in early position raised to 55K and Robbins called from the button. On the Q42 the original raiser checked and Jamie bet 90K. His opponent then check-raised to 290K. Robbins eyed the other player’s stack, which totaled around 350K, before moving all in. His opponent called:

Robbins: KQ
Opponent: AQ

Robbins was looking for a King to win a big pot and sure enough the K landed on the turn. The meaningless 5 hit the river and Robbins eliminated his opponent and increased his stack to 2.5 million.

Through a series of preflop raises Steve “19FMzadester” Levy got it all-in preflop holding pocket tens to the A-K of Fabrice Soulier. The K76 spelled disaster for Levy and when the turn and river ran out J and Q respective Steve was eliminated.
