During the first level after their dinner break, Billy “Patrolman35″ Kopp and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier were involved in a big hand in the Amazon Room.
Action folded to Grospellier in late position who raised to 2.5K with the blinds at 500/1000. Kopp, pictured left, re-raised to 5.5K on the button and action folded back to ElkY who made the call. The flop fell Q

and Grospellier checked. Kopp bet 8.1K and ElkY quickly raised to 21K. Billy flatted, and before the dealer could burn and turn a fourth card Grospellier move his stack in the middle. The turn was the T
and Kopp quickly called. The hands were turned up:
Kopp: A

ElkY: K

Billy had the best of it, but the K
spiked on the river and ElkY scooped the pot. Kopp is left with just 18.4K and Grospellier now has 85K.
Aces were a bit friendlier to recent bracelet winner Jordan “scarface_79″ Smith. Smith got it all in with an opponent after the dealer flopped 7

, and he held A

. Jordan scooped the pot to jump to 60K. Thinking he was eliminated, his opponent left the tournament area with 700 chips still in his stack.
Carter “ckingusc” King “did LarsLuzak dirty” when play resumed after dinner break. According to Carter, Sami “LarsLuzak” Kelopuro opened from the cutoff and King potted from the button. Kelopuro shipped all in and Carter called. King’s pocket tens were behind Sami’s jacks and the Q-J-X flop didn’t help. The K-9 turn and river did though, and Carter’s straight crippled Kelopuro. Sami busted a few hands later and Carter remains alive and well with around 40K.
Other players who made their exit after dinner include Vivek “psyduck” Rajkumar, Jason “treysful21″ Mercier and David “Bakes” Baker.
Darryll “DFish” Fish is the resident chip leader with an astounding 230K.

Allen “albari” Bari and Ryan “gotskillz” Fisler have guaranteed themselves at least $4,745 but have their eyes set on the $188,370 first prize. Bari and Fisler are both well below the average of 73K. We’ll attempt to play down to the final nine tonight, otherwise play will end at 3:00 a.m.
