We’ve reached that time in the tournament where most of the action in hands is taking place preflop and the amount of 3-betting just keeps increasing. Vanessa Rousso, who recently doubled up to 350K, put in a 40K raise from middle position and Hevad Khan (pictured right) moved all-in from the hijack for 217K total. Rousso mulled over the decision for a minute or two and told Khan, “you know I’m not raising light here”, before folding her cards. Khan’s stack is up to around 250K now, but he is still one of the shortest stacks left in the event.
Amidst the slow action Mohsin “chicagocards1″ Charania has been quietly building up his chip stack from 220K to 592K with only one of the hands he was involved in making it all the way to showdown. He has now cracked the top five chip counts, which are as follows:
Allen “AawwNutz” Carter - 1.48 million
Tyler “Tydean” Smith - 935K
Bobby Suer - 900K
Hilbert Shirey - 830K
Mohsin “chicagocards1″ Charania - 592K
